Philip is an inspiring teacher: he is pragmatic, empowering and
grounded. He sees the breath as the crucial energetic and
contemplative link between body, mind and spirit, and has developed his
own integrated style of teaching encompassing these aspects - always
leading students onwards towards a more subtle appreciation of the essence
of Yoga.
Philip originally trained with Dr. Swami Gitananda in India in
1980. He has been teaching Yoga continuously ever since, in this
country and abroad. Before this he studied with various Meditation
schools and continues this contemplative strand within his teaching and
his practice.
He acquired a BA(Hons) degree in 1984 mainly focused on Yoga and
Eastern Religion and trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in 1986.
Philip is available to teach on all aspects of Yoga. At present
he tutors three in-depth teacher training days for the British Wheel of
Yoga covering basic breathing, Polarity, Pranayama, Pancha Kosha (the five
sheaths), Tri Granthi (the three phychic knots) and the major nadis.
Since 2000 Philip also now tutors a 1 year in-depth Foundation and
Teacher Training course on all aspects of Pranayama. The course
begins each October usually in London and one other venue. Click

Philip also teaches Massage, Reflexology and Touch For Health.
